Three Chaplains Film Screening and Panel DiscussionThree Chaplains Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Join us for a thought-provoking evening at the Eck Law School Courtroom on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 7:45 PM, for a special film screening and panel discussion of "Three Chaplains."

"Three Chaplains" delves into the lives of Rafael Lantigua, Khallid Shabazz, and Saleha Jabeen—Muslim chaplains who uphold the First Amendment in the U.S. military. Despite facing resistance and challenges due to their beliefs, they remain dedicated to their duty of protecting the religious freedom of every service member. Through the lens of the armed forces, the film explores their journey, teachings, and the hurdles they overcome.

Following the screening, join us for a panel discussion with the film's Director and Producer, David Washburn, Producer Razi Jafri, and active-duty Army Chaplain Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Wallace. Gain insights into the making of the film and engage in a meaningful dialogue about religious freedom in the military.

The event schedule is as follows:

  • 5:30 pm - Film Screening
  • 6:30 pm - Panel Discussion
  • 7:45 pm - Iftar/Interfaith Meal

Panelists include David Washburn, Razi Jafri, Kenneth Heckel (Director of Notre Dame's Military and Veteran Affairs), and Chaplain LTC Christopher Wallace. The discussion promises to be enlightening and impactful.
